Charlotte Handley

With 14 years’ experience, Charlotte first started brass through the original brass project at St Jude's, and has since progressed through the Training, Youth and Senior bands. While at university, Charlotte had a full music scholarship and was an active member of Nottingham Trent's concert and brass bands, playing a mixture of tenor and bass trombone. Having graduated and returned from university, Charlotte is once again an active member of The Egham Band and a supporting member of the Egham Youth Project, frequently helping at the Youth and Training band's rehearsals to provide more individual support.

Recently, Charlotte has also joined the Runnymede Jazz Orchestra on second trombone, hoping to widen her skill set in the world of jazz.  Charlotte also helps out with Royal Holloway Brass Band playing 1st Baritone.

Charlotte specialises in trombone but is also comfortable teaching both baritone/euphonium and tenor horn. Lessons can be held at flexible times at the Egham Band Hall or at a designated space at her home.

Following the success of her Summer Brass Course, Charlotte is offering two introductory sessions (total £15) for anyone wishing to transition to another brass instrument (cornet, tenor horn, baritone, euphonium or trombone). These sessions will cover the essential fundamentals of the new instrument.
